I created three unique skateboard deck designs for Darkstar Skateboards, blending bold typography with distinct stylistic approaches that align with the brand’s gritty and aggressive aesthetic.

1. “Slash” – Hand-Drawn Lettering Design
   This deck features custom hand-drawn lettering, dubbed “Slash”, with sharp, energetic strokes that echo the rebellious tone of skate culture. The organic, freeform type was designed to feel raw and personal, evoking motion and attitude.

2. Traditional Large Type – Design 1
   A clean, high-impact design centered on traditional large-scale typography. This design plays with contrast, balance, and legibility, delivering a powerful visual statement on the board that aligns with Darkstar’s iconic branding.

3. Traditional Large Type – Design 2
   Another variation in the traditional type style, this deck emphasizes symmetry and bold letterforms. The color palette and structure are optimized for maximum shelf impact while maintaining skate functionality and street appeal.

These designs combine craftsmanship with an understanding of brand identity, helping push forward the visual narrative of Darkstar’s hard-edged, no-compromise aesthetic.
